Q1. How does eye4homes work?


Eye4homes is a unique website allowing homeowners to sell their own property online and be in full control, it is alternative method to using an estate agent. The user friendly site goes through four easy steps to create your property advert which is instantly uploaded for millions of potential buyers to see.


Q2. What are a vendor and a purchaser?


A vendor is the term described as the person selling a house and a purchaser is the term used to describe the person purchasing the house.


Q3. Why should I use Eye4homes.co.uk?


Firstly - save yourself thousands of pounds in estate agents fees

Secondly - You know your house best, so why rely on someone else selling it?

Thirdly - A n estimated 70% of potential buyers go online to look for their new home, why miss this opportunity to have your property exposed to millions of people online. Remember the greater the exposure the more interest hopefully to be received.


Q4. What if I am already using an estate agent?


As eye4homes is an extra advertising tool, you can also use an estate agent to market your property. We would advise you that if you are already using an estate agent, you should inform them immediately and check the agreement you have with them, as a dual agent process is sometimes not possible.


Q5. What are the costs?


The usual cost is a one off fixed payment of £99 to advertise your property online until it is sold, with no other hidden costs, this also includes a free for sale board which should nearly double all your viewings. However, for a limited time only we are offering all customers wishing to advertise their property privately to pay just a fixed fee of 1p!


Q6. Why should I have a For Sale board?


A For Sale board is the most visual way that people can see that your property is on the market, and is probably the best marketing tool to generate interest. Recent research estimates that by having a for sale board you can almost double your viewings.


Q7. How will I receive my For Sale board?


Your professional For Sale board will be sent via Royal Mail 1st class as soon as your property details are loaded onto our site. We recommend that you buy the sign pole and bolts from your local DIY supplier as these are not included. Please remember to fix them safely and at a suitable height which will not cause any harm to anyone, or damage anything.


Q8. How do I list my Property?


You need to click onto the new accounts button which can be found at the top of every page and register as a seller. You will then be directed to a four page step-by-step guide to upload all your property details in the form of an advert. This process should not take long and remember - you are in full control so you can edit and amend anything you want any time of day.

 

Q9. Do I need to put lots of text in my property listing?


This is your house for sale so you make the decision the amount of detail you put in .One thing to remember is your in charge of selling your property, so it would be in your best interest to ensure you did our property justice. Please also ensure that you check the content for any spelling and grammar errors.


Q10. Do I need a HIP to sell my house?


Any property marketed from December 14th in England and Wales will need a home information pack (HIP) and it is your responsibility to ensure one is ordered at the point of marketing your property privately. At eye4homes.co.uk we can put you in touch with a dedicated company to do this for you, with the average cost between £250 to £400.


Q11. I am having problems uploading the photographs of my property onto your site?


Any problems you have in doing this, please contact our dedicated customer services department on info@eye4homes.co.uk for further advice.


Q12. Can I change my advert?


Once you have uploaded you property details onto our website, you will have your own seller account where you can go into your property details at anytime and edit or amend them.


Q13. How do I pay for this service?


Once you have completed your property advert, you will be able to preview how it will look. Once you are happy, there will be a payment which once pressed, will direct you to a secure link, and take you to Paypal, a secure system used for major credit card and debit card accounts.


Q14. How are viewings arranged?


If you are the vendor of the house, any potential purchasers will contact you directly via telephone or e-mail or both, whichever method you choose to use to advertise and a convenient time can be arranged. If you are a potential buyer you will need to set up a buyers account, which will then give you access to viewing details on any property.


Q15. What if I am having problems using the site?


Any problems or concerns you have, please feel free to email us and we will ensure a response is with you in 48 hours.

 

Q16. What areas does eye4homes cover?

We currently cover the whole of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

 

Q17. Can Ey4homes write my advertisment?

Eye4homes provide guidance within our seller’s guide on how to write your advertisement. However, the Office For Fair Trading advises that we can provide you with an online advert and an off-line advert (For Sale board), but any other extra services we provide would class us as an estate agent and this would breach our aims.

 

Q18. Can you deal with all inquires on my behalf and arrange viewings?

At Eye4homes we strive to deliver a high quality service and cost effective marketing. Therefore if we provided the above service to you, this  would increase the amount charged to you dramatically and this would not help to keep our - and your costs - down. Therefore we do not prove this service at present.

 

Q19. Is there a certain height that I have to erect my ‘For Sale Board’?

Due to health and safety regulations, there is a set height that you will need to erect your for sale board, and further details on this will be sent out in the post along with your board to you.

 

Q20. What if I am not happy with the service that I have received from Eye4homes?

We aim to deliver the highest level of service we can to our customer, however we are aware there may be occasion were you may be dissatisfied with some or all of our service.  As we like to deal with all our customer’s promptly, if you can put all the details of your complaint into an email to: info@eye4homes.co.uk. Then one of our dedicated Customer Service Managers will look into this matter for you and come back to you within a reasonable timescale.

 

Q21. If I am selling privately do I still need a solicitor?

Yes you will still need a solicitor to deal with the legal side of your house sale.


Q22. I am a potential buyer, how do I contact vendors about their property?

The answer to this may change dependent on if the way email address is displayed is changed.

 

Q23. Are all of the online property details correct?

All of the private property details listed on the Ey4homes web site have been produced by the seller. Therefore, we are unable to take any responsibility for the accuracy of this information.
